October 21st

This is the first installation of “You know you’ve been in Mali too long when…”  All quotes and situations are compliments of Project Muso volunteers and myself.

– You complain that a quarter for a pound of bananas is expensive.

– You say, “I know I’m weird for eating yogurt with a spoon instead of sucking it out of a plastic bag.”

– Waking up at 7AM is sleeping in, and on the flipside, going to bed at 10PM is staying up late.

– You see a turkey (the first time ever in Mali) while you’re out running one morning and think to yourself, “Man, I wish my family had a turkey so that we could kill it and eat it.”
